Florida Motorcycle Licensing Information
As of July 1, 2008,
the DMV now requires all riders take a motorcycle safety course in
order to obtain their motorcycle endorsement, regardless of skill
level.
Students must be at least 16 yrs old, however, all
students under the age of 18, will be required to provide parent
or guardian signatures on all waiver forms prior to attending the Basic RiderCourse.
Upon successfully completing the Basic RiderCourse, which
consists of full attendance both days, passing a multiple choice
written test and the skills evaluation, you will be issued a Certificate
of Completion which MUST be taken to your local DMV office to have
the endorsement added to your license and to be legal to ride on
public roads.
In the event a student fails either the written
test or skills evaluation, they will be afforded one opportunity
to retake the written test and/or skills evaluation free of
charge.
